Welcome to
JW Meeting!

JW Meeting is an index of places where Jehovah’s Witnesses meet together to worship their God Jehovah.

The goal of this Wiki is to provide more detail about each of these places, and if possible, give a historic background on these buildings.

We also provide a short insight in the terminology the Jehovah's Witnesses use in their daily life in connection with their organisation, their meetings and some interesting persons.

Congregations are local groups of believers that comes together to worship in the local Kingdom Halls or other places of worship.

They meet two times in a week for bible education and social interaction. Often they use Kingdom Halls or private homes of Witnesses to meet before they go out from door to door to preach the message from the Bible. Several congregations form a Circuit.

Use our Api template to add extra congregations to the Kingdom Hall page.

Kingdom Halls are used as places of worship by one or several congregations.

Some are single halls with just one or two congregations, others can have two or more halls in one larger building so there is room for several congregations to meet at the same time. We do not call them churches. See our Terminology Navigation.

We have started with the Scandinavian Kingdom Halls first.

Assembly Halls are places of worship where several congregations meet for biblical education at the same time.
The programs are called Circuit assemblies and each congregation has two of these special days in a year. Some Assembly Halls are also used for the annual convention, where several Circuits meet. Others will using rented facilities to meet for such larger events.

Bethel means "House of God" in Hebrew.

Bethel, or Branche Office, is a multi purposed building where there are offices for translating work, communication, audio and video studio, etc. Often there are wings for residential purposes, and some Bethel houses have a printing house as well.

These branch offices are used to organise the organisation in it's assigned territory.
